How to turn images into a PDF on this page
- Add your pictures. Drop them on the box at the top or click to browse. One image is enough, and you can keep adding more after the first batch.
- Check the list. Each row shows a small preview, the file name, its size and the page number that image will become.
- Put them in order. Drag a row to a new position or use the up and down arrows at the right of it. The remove button drops an image you did not mean to add.
- Create the PDF. The button tells you how many images it is about to turn into pages.
- Download. The result line gives the page count and the new file size, and the file saves as images.pdf.

The order in the list is the order in the document, and nothing is sorted for you, so a picture named IMG_0009 will not jump ahead of IMG_0100 unless you move it. On a phone or tablet, dragging rows can be awkward because touch screens and drag-and-drop do not always cooperate; the up and down arrows do the same job and are the dependable choice on a small screen. Adding more images later appends them to the end of the list, which makes it easy to build a long document in batches, and changing the order or removing a row clears any finished download so you never end up sending an older version.
Which formats go in, and what happens to them
JPG and PNG files are placed into the PDF exactly as they are, byte for byte, with no re-encoding at all. That is the best case: nothing is re-compressed, so nothing gets softer, and PNG transparency survives intact because the PNG goes in as a PNG, alpha channel included.
Other formats cannot be stored inside a PDF directly, so anything else your browser can open, including WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF, is decoded and re-encoded as a high quality JPEG first. Those images are laid on a white background before encoding, since JPEG has no way to record transparency, and an animated image simply becomes one still page.
Whether a particular format works therefore comes down to what your browser can decode. HEIC photos from an iPhone are the usual sticking point: some browsers open them and some do not. Any image that cannot be decoded is left out and the tool tells you how many were skipped, building the PDF from the rest rather than failing outright. If HEIC gives you trouble, setting your iPhone camera to Most Compatible, or sharing the photos so they arrive as JPG, sidesteps it entirely. Files that are not images at all are filtered out as soon as you add them, with a notice counting them.
Page sizing, and what it means when you print
Each page is sized to its image rather than to a fixed sheet of paper, so nothing is ever cropped, stretched, letterboxed or padded out with margins. The picture fills its page exactly and the shape of the page matches the shape of the photo.
The mapping is one image pixel to one PDF point, and a PDF point is one seventy-second of an inch. A 3000 pixel wide photo therefore produces a page about 42 inches wide on paper. On screen this is invisible, because a viewer just fits the page to the window, and print quality is excellent, because all those pixels are still there. What you will notice is your print dialog reporting an unusual paper size, so choose scale to fit or fit to printable area and the page will land neatly on Letter or A4.
There is no fit-to-A4 option, no rotation and no margin control here. If you need a document on standard paper with white space around the images, place them in a word processor or page layout program and export a PDF from there.
Turning phone photos into a scan
The most common use for this tool is making a document out of pages you photographed. Lay each page flat, get even light with no shadow across the paper, photograph the pages in order, then add them here and check the row numbers before you convert.
Be clear about what you get: a faithful photo of each page, one per PDF page. The tool does not detect page edges, correct perspective, straighten a tilted shot, convert to black and white, or run text recognition, so the result is a picture document rather than a searchable one. Keeping the file size sensible
Because JPGs and PNGs go in untouched, the PDF is at least as large as all the images added together. Modern phone photos run several megabytes each, so twelve of them make a document too heavy for most email. Run the finished PDF through Compress PDF and it will usually drop dramatically, since a document made entirely of photographs is exactly the case that responds best.
